 Since Fall of 2002, students at Clear View Charter School have enjoyed The Art Studio. Children have two opportunities a month to explore the work of master artists, writers and illustrators. They then apply that skill in work of their own. The importance of
visual
communication in our highly visual culture is emphasized. The
students practice the principles of
drawing and artistic composition, plus exploring the concepts and use
of color
through a variety of media. They can
then use these skills to showcase their knowledge in a wide variety of
curricular areas. |
